  academic travel

Our Academic travel programs are designed for groups with a university background - whether they are organized by professors or students of a specific course, by a university-related institute that offers immersion experiences, or by an alumni association. In the past, we have created programs for leading institutions such as Harvard Business School, but also for smaller universities like Arizona State University or Shawnee State University.

What sets us aside at least from our regional competition is that we are not only happy to take care of all logistics, arrange for seminars, meetings, receptions and events, and organize the leisure components of the trip. Far beyond this, our teams have gained wide experience in supporting the development of the academic content of the program, suggesting and initiating contacts and access to local academic institutions, government agencies, private businesses etc, and later liaising between client and hosts to ensure a meaningful, satisfying and safe experience. This capacity is unmatched at least in East Africa.

Example programs:

  • Business schools: Social entrepreneurship, poverty reduction through business enterprise, microfinance, SMEs, fair trade, development of stock exchanges, engagement in global markets
  • Peace studies and conflict resolution
  • Cultural studies, African studies and anthropology
  • Law: Traditional and modern African legal systems, legal aid clinics, mediation, human rights
  • Political science, international relations and governance studies
  • Biology and conservation studies
  • Education
  • Psychology
  • Immersion programs
