south africa
South Africa is the latest addition
to the Eos Visions network. Together with our partners, we can offer
the full range of Eos Visions products and services in this
fascinating country. A few first glimpses:
Culture
South Africa has multiple tribes and 11 official languages. There
is a very African/European mixture of culture with a spicing of
Indian and Malay included. A diverse range of cultures contribute
to cuisine, dance, religion, music and politics.
Landscapes
South Africa is bordered by the Atlantic & Indian Oceans and boasts
snow-capped mountains, tropical beaches, red-dune deserts, the Cape
Winelands, game reserves, savannah and high-tech cities.
Fauna and Flora
The big 5 of lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino are all
found in South Africa, and everything in between. The country is
the world's richest and most diverse floral kingdom, and unique
activities include land-based whale watching, magnificent bird-life
and Great White Shark cage diving.
Political Heritage
From intolerance to remarkable harmony, this is the land of Nelson
Mandela, Archbishop Desmond Tutu and the Truth and Reconciliation
Commission that was a world break-through in dealing with the
iniquities of the past in a peaceful and constructive manner. The
thriving democracy is a shining light to all on the African
continent. There are political pioneers & leaders in peace
negotiations where, through experiences of a negotiated revolution,
South Africans have dealt with crises in the Middle East, Burundi
and the DR Congo, amongst others. South Africa is also a Founder of
the new African Union and a member of the African renaissance &
NEPAD (New Partnership for Africa’s Development). But, ultimately,
South Africa is the Rainbow Nation. |
